Juwan Staten
Staten played for WVU from 2012-15, helping the team reach a Sweet 16 appearance in 2015. Before college, Staten attended Oak Hill Academy, which is famously known for alumni Carmelo Anthony, Michael Beasley, Kevin Durant, Stephen Jackson, Ty Lawson, Rajon Rondo, Jerry Stackhouse, amongst others. Staten—a Dayton, Ohio native—spent his freshman season at the University of Dayton, before transferring to West Virginia for his last three years of eligibility.
At West Virginia, the 6-foot-1 guard was selected the All-Big 12 First Team in 2014 and 2015. Staten finished his career at WVU with 1,260 points in three seasons. The guard from Ohio finished seventh in program history with 433 assists in just 94 games.
Following his graduation in 2015, Staten went undrafted in the 2015 NBA draft. A couple of months later, Staten signed with the Golden State Warriors and played for their D-League (Developmental) team, the Santa Cruz Warriors. Staten was traded to the Delaware 87ers (Philadelphia 76ers farm system) and played a few games before signing with Belifius Mons-Hainaut of the Belgian League.
Since playing in Belgium, Staten has played in Finland, France and Hungary. Staten has been playing in Hungary since 2019.
