Tarik Phillip

Phillip is a Brooklyn, New York native, who played for the West Virginia men’s basketball team from 2014-17. Prior to coming to WVU, Phillip played a year at Independence Community College located in Independence, Kansas. Phillip arrived at West Virginia’s campus with three years of eligibility left and he made the most of it. During his time at WVU, Phillip was a part of 2-Sweet 16 teams, making the NCAA Tournament all three years of his time at WVU. In his senior season, the Big 12 awarded Phillip with the sixth man of the year, making Phillip the only WVU winner in the Big 12 era. Phillip averaged 9.5 points on 40% shooting from the field and 38% from three.

In 2019, Phillip was signed by the Washington Wizards to compete during the NBA Summer League. During the summer, Phillip averaged 5.7 points, 1.2 assists and one steal in four games. Prior and afterwards of the opportunity to play in the NBA, Phillip has played in Hungary, Spain, Memphis (G-League), Turkey and Israel.

In Nov. 2020, Phillip signed with Tofas of the Turkish Basketbol Süper Ligi.
